Leaves and absenceswithout losing people.

A member files an absence with a reason and dates, a lead approves it in a couple of clicks, and the panel sends a reminder before it ends.

How leaves workand what they do not cancel.

A leave records an agreed absence: it shows in the profile and the member table, but it does not lift reprimands or pause time in a position.
A request with datesA reason, a start date and an end date. Requests go to Leave requests for review, and an absence can be ended early from there.
Visible to those who need itAn active leave is marked in the profile and the member table, so nobody thinks the person has gone missing.
A reminder before the endAn automation reminds the member or the leads that the term is ending — as many days ahead as you set.

When an absenceis better agreed in advance.

Someone is gone for two weeks — the only question is whether they warned anyone. A request with dates answers that without a chat search.
  1. Exams, work, holidays

A member files an absence with a reason and dates, and a leader approves it in a couple of clicks.

  2. Cleaning up the roster

An active absence is marked in the profile and in the roster table, so nobody is demoted by mistake during a cleanup.

  3. The period is ending

An automation reminds the member or the leadership in advance — as many days before the end as you choose.

Common questionsabout inactivity.

Does inactivity pause penalties and time in a position?

No. It records an agreed absence, but penalties are not lifted and time in the position keeps running.

Where are requests reviewed?

In the Inactivity section: that is where they arrive for review and where an absence is ended early.

Can other members see the absence?

An active absence is marked in the profile and in the roster table — within the sections a person is allowed to see.

How do I get a reminder before it ends?

With a rule in Automations: the check runs every 10 minutes and the notification goes to the member, the leadership or a channel.
