How to connecta Discord server to A-Faction.

Connecting takes about two minutes and needs no card. You need your Discord account, the server ID and the right to add a bot.

What you needbefore you start.

Nothing but Discord: the panel has no separate registration and no password.
Your Discord ID or usernameThere is a single field: 17 to 20 digits count as an ID, anything else as a username.
The server IDTurn on developer mode in the Discord settings, right-click the server and choose Copy Server ID.
The right to add a botThe invite link requests administrator permissions, and the bot role must sit above the roles it manages.

Four stepsfrom the form to a working panel.

  1. Identify yourself and the server

On the Connect server page enter your Discord ID or username and the guild ID.

  2. Enter the code from your DMs

The bot sends a code to your direct messages. It is valid for 10 minutes and works once.

  3. Add the bot to the server

Open the invite link and confirm the permissions. After that the bot can see your guild's channels and roles.

  4. Fill in the server details

The name, the category and your own data. Then the panel is open: start with Structure, Permissions and Terms.

If somethingwent wrong.

The code does not arrive

The bot can only message people it shares a server with. Join our Discord, allow direct messages from server members and request the code again — up to three times per 15 minutes.

What permissions does the bot need?

Administrator: it grants and removes roles, writes to channels and DMs, creates forum threads and joins voice channels to record interviews.

A number is shown instead of a channel name

The bot cannot see that channel or role. Check that the bot is on the server and that the guild is linked in the settings Overview.

What should be configured right after connecting?

The structure with departments and positions, permissions, terms, bot forms and the roster table columns. The settings Overview shows the readiness percentage.
